A police traffic stop in San Pablo on Thursday led to the seizure of 45 stolen brand-name sunglasses worth a combined total of more than $13,000, according to the San Pablo Police Department.
“The glasses still had the price tags that showed they each retailed for $300 or more,” police said.
The passengers of the car were later booked at County Jail for possession of stolen property.
“With the heat rising this week, it is no surprise that sunglasses would be a hot commodity,” police said, also noting, “Hopefully they have a brighter future ahead of them.”
