This group of local girls have given their hometown a reason to cheer.
The San Pablo Cowboys Division 8 & 10 Cheer Squad qualified for the American Youth Football and Cheer National Championship competition in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 11.
The competition features over 200 cheer, dance and step squads nationwide competing for the national title. The Cowboys squads qualified by placing in the top three in one of the national organization’s eight regional competitions.
Now, the program is asking for the community’s support in raising funds for the East Coast trip, which costs roughly $980 per student-athlete.
