East Richmond Heights preschool readies for ‘SkyJam’

Skytown Preschool, a nonprofit, co-op preschool in East Richmond Heights, is ushering in the return of its “SkyJam Festival & Fundraiser” Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Festival & Fundraiser will be “jam-packed” with live music, food trucks, kiddie activities, a garage sale, silent auction and more. Admission is free, but the preschool suggests a $10 donation per child.

SkyJam is set to be a day full of activities, with the stand-out star being who the preschool called “the Bay Area’s Best Children’s entertainer,” Buki the Clown. Live music and performances are also planned, including the Hawaiian music ensemble, ‘AHAmele, hailing from Oakland’s Academy of Hawaiian Arts (AHA).

The play-based learning experts from the preschool will be curating engaging activities for the littles to explore that day. Also lined up will be a firetruck, bounce houses and face painting. “Don’t miss out on great deals and unique offers at the silent auction, garage sale, and free children’s book exchange (bring your books with you),” said the preschool’s organizers.
