Armed robbers followed a victim as he was leaving a Hercules bank last week, police said.
“The suspect held a gun to the victim telling him he saw him walk out of the bank with the envelope and to give him all the money,” police said.
The incident was reported around 10 a.m., after the victim said he withdrew $500 in cash from the local Chase bank. The victim left in his car via the Safeway exit onto southbound San Pablo Avenue.
“The victim was in the number two lane turning onto Sycamore when a Champagne color older [Lexus] pulled up next to him,” police said.
A man exited the front passenger seat of the vehicle wearing a black jacket with a bandanna around his face. The suspect held a gun to the victim while demanding money from the envelope. The victim handed the suspect the money and the suspect fled in the vehicle with an unknown driver north on San Pablo Avenue.
The victim then drove to the Hercules Police Department to report the robbery.
