Richmond-based organization RCF Connects was named a “2025 Community Impact Awardee” at the 2025 East Bay Innovation Awards ceremony March 27 at the Oakland Scottish Rite Center.

Locally known as “the Academy Awards of the East Bay,” the East Bay Innovation Awards spotlights Alameda and Contra Costa Counties most groundbreaking companies and organizations.

A group of finalists were selected by industry experts in December 2024 from a pool of more than 100 applicants. Competitive categories included Catalyst, Community Impact, Manufacturing and Technology.

RCF Connects emerged as a Community Impact winner alongside fellow category honorees AC Transit, Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay High School (Oakland) and Diablo Valley College’s Industrial Automation and Robotics Program (Pleasant Hill). The evening’s awardees received certificates of recognition from California State Treasurer Fiona Ma.

The awards ceremony was presented by PG&E and was attended by a crowd of more than 500 attendees, including elected officials, representatives from foreign consulates and community and business leaders.
