Third graders at Coronado Elementary School students received new backpacks filled with school supplies thanks to a donation from Amazon.
A dedicated parent at the Richmond school works with Amazon and recommended the donation, according to West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) Superintendent Dr. Kenneth C. Hurst’s latest newsletter.
In addition to 60 backpacks, the donation also provided supplies for the school’s staff.
“We extend a heartfelt thanks to Amazon and the parents who facilitated this incredible support, helping to enhance the educational experience for young learners and strengthen the entire school community,” Dr. Hurst said.
