The RYSE Center celebrated National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 17, by holding a community mural painting day in front of the Richmond center.
The mural, which takes up much of the street in front of the center at at 3939 Bissell Ave., is a large call-to-action from young people who cannot vote, and shares issues that are important to them.
The event also featured opportunities and resources to take action and register to vote. For more information about RYSE’s Voting and Civic Engagement work, visit rysecenter.org/vote.
RYSE is a Richmond-based organization founded in 2008 centered on supporting and uplifting local youth.
