Caltrans is set to temporarily close a stretch of eastbound Interstate 580 from Richmond to Albany for two consecutive nights, May 10-12, for repaving work.
The eastbound lanes from Central Avenue in Richmond to Buchanan Street in Albany will temporarily close between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 4 a.m. both nights.
During those hours, drivers traveling from Richmond toward Albany will exist at Central Avenue, turn right at the traffic light onto Central Avenue eastbound and take the westbound I-80 onramp.
“Motorists should watch for detour signs and expect delays,” according to Caltrans.
