The East Bay Regional Park District will conduct prescribed burns as part of a firefighting training exercise at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline on Thursday and Friday, June 22-23.
Smoke may be visible. The Park District is asking the public to not report the smoke to first responders, who are aware of the prescribed burns.
“The prescribed burns are in accordance with the air quality restrictions,” the Park District said.
The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Alameda County Fire Department, CAL FIRE, and Moraga-Orinda Fire District are partnering on the prescribed burns and training.
