The Annual Pinole Car Show is set to take place in Old Town Pinole this Sunday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event, which is free to the public, will kick off with a Pancake Breakfast at the Senior Center at 7 a.m. After breakfast, community members are encouraged to stroll on through Fernandez Park and Downtown Pinole to look at all the classic American and foreign-made cars. Live music, dancing, local vendors, raffles and more will also color the event.
The Pinole Police Department is advising the public about road closures to make way for the car show, from 5:30 a.m. to about 4 p.m. traffic will be closed to traffic between Tennent Avenue and Old Pinole Valley Road.
Eastbound traffic on San Pablo Aenue will be directed onto either northbound or southbound Tennent Avenue. Motorists wishing to continue eastbound on San Pablo Avenue will be detoured southbound on Tennent Avenue to northbound Old Pinole Valley Road and then back eastbound on San Pablo Avenue. Westbound San Pablo Avenue traffic will be detoured southbound on Old Pinole Valley Road to Tennent Avenue and back to westbound San Pablo Avenue.
Northbound Tennet Avenue from the Pinole Valley Road intersection to eastbound Prune Street and northbound Fernandez Avenue to San Pablo Avenue will eb impcated from about 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. for the lineup of participant vehicles and exhibitors. No parking signage will be placed along this route.
Pear and Plum streets will be closed off at Fernandez Avenue at 5:45 a.m. to allow church parking during services.
