Want to treat your mom to a delicious Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast with bay views and affordability to match? Look no further than the Red Oak Victory, a restored World War II Victory ship that’s now a floating museum on the Richmond waterfront.
This Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, the ship will kick off its Pancake Breakfast season from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A hearty breakfast of freshly made pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, apple slices with coffee and orange juice will be served from the ship’s WWII galley—all for $20 (plus $3.18 ticket fee) for adults and $5 (plus $2.18 fee) for children 8 and under. Adults can also order mimosas for an extra fee.
Sam & His Serenaders will treat breakfast-goers to live, vintage music, while guests can also explore the ship’s original 1944 radio room to send free radiograms around the world.
The Red Oak Victory will also be offering a docent-led tour of the ship that includes its engine room. Another option is the ship’s all-new self-guided audio tour in English/Spanish, which can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.
Click here to purchase tickets. While the breakfast service ends at 12:30 p.m., the ship remains open until 4 p.m. so visitors can explore all its offerings.
The Red Oak Victory is located at 1337 Canal Boulevard in Richmond. Learn more.
