The annual Car-B-Cue brought the community together for lowriders and good eats at Nicholl Park on Saturday, May 18.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which was sponsored by Otra Cosa Richmond C.C, Sanchos C.C,  Brotherhood Bay Area C.C. and Unfinished Business C.C.

The four clubs served a completely free with all the fixings BBQ to long lines of hungry people. A combined effort on the cooking front by Anthony Rivas and his Otra Cosa crew, and the family at Unfinished Business providing some soulful delights. Meanwhile, a DJ amped up the festivities with R&B music.

Mark Torres of the Otra Costa Car Club brought his customized Harley Davidson Motorcycle that was decorated in the theme of the Raiders football team.

“This a wonderful family event for the community,” Torres said. “It shows how positive the City of Richmond is when the community comes to events like this.”

Pamela Hutchinson, a Richmond resident, added, “Today’s event shows people and families can come together and have a safe and wonderful time together. We are Richmond proud.”
