Richmond YouthWORKS is holding its “Youth and Young Adult Career & Resource Fair” Friday, May 24 from 1-5 p.m. at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium in Richmond.

The event is described as an opportunity for employers to connect with talented young people ages 16-24 who are looking to kick start their careers.

Employers are encouraged to sign up on Eventbrite to book a free booth to participate in the upcoming event. YouthWORKS Workforce Specialist II Cinthia Hernandez said in a correspondence that by joining the event, businesses aren’t just filling a booth, but also investing in the next generation of leaders.

“Let’s uplift and support our youth community as they chart their paths to success,” she added.

YouthWORKS’ mission is stated on its website as equipping Richmond youth ages 16-24 with the knowledge and experience to be successful in real-world work environments through work-based learning, financial literacy/work-readiness workshops and one-on-one career counseling. It is a program of the City of Richmond.

The Richmond Memorial Auditorium is located at 403 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond. Employers can reserve a spot at the free event here. Questions? Contact YouthWORKS at 510-412-2044 or [email protected].
