Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) today announced the opening of its relocated and expanded El Cerrito Health Center.
Located at 280 El Cerrito Plaza, the center is currently welcoming patients with twice as
many exam rooms, which PPNorCal says will accommodate the growing demand for services. From July 2022 through June 2023, the health center served 5,671 patients with a variety of services, including medicated abortions.
PPNorCal plans to launch procedural abortion (PAB) services in the new space this Fall. The organization is the only PAB provider in Contra Costa County offering uncompensated care support regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
“PPNorCal serves a diverse and vibrant community in El Cerrito, and we are proud to offer a full range of family planning services in addition to expanded abortion care,” said Gilda Gonzales, CEO of Planned Parenthood Northern California. “In a time when abortion is under attack across the country, the expansion of our services further demonstrates our commitment to being a reproductive freedom safe haven for California patients and those fleeing other states.”
