Sisters Raven and Shana Harper will be joining creative spirits for NIAD Art Center’s Annex Gallery exhibition “Sisters Shall Be: Raven and Shana Harper” during March through April in Richmond.

The exhibition, which partially falls during Women’s History Month, is viewable through the end of April and “from flora and fauna, to family and sisterhood, to pop culture icons and Civil Rights leaders [it] highlights the multi-disciplinary practices of Raven and Shana Harper,” said NIAD.

NIAD noted that both sisters have dedicated themselves to their art for decades, moved fluidly through different mediums to create bodies of work that explore a wide variety of themes.

The art center, driven by the aim of giving people with disabilities the skills and experience to express themselves, be independent and earn income as an artist, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m.
