When was the last time you grabbed lunch at Snappers Seafood Restaurant in Richmond? Let us know in the comments!

The Standard recently stopped by the popular eatery at 1501 Ohio Ave. and received a warm welcome and a tip from owner Jabari Muhammad. He advised that we try the eatery’s specialty—you guessed it—snapper, with a choice of sides like collard greens, macaroni and cheese and candy yams.

What’s more, Muhammad gave a shout out to Snappers Seafood’s food truck, which he said travels to feed its fans throughout the entire Bay Area, not just in Richmond.

On a sunny day, consider getting your Snappers Seafood to go so you can enjoy it at beautiful Unity Park, offering plenty of places to sit and friendly folks passing through, which this reporter experienced. When you’re finished eating, walk along the Greenway bike/pedestrian trail stretching through the park to enjoy the great outdoors while getting some urban-style exercise.

Check out the menu here. Questions? Call Snappers Seafood at (510) 235-6328.
