Boomer Dance Party” alert! Time to grab your besties and hit up the Allegro Ballroom & Dance Club for “the most danceable hits of the 50s and 60s,” and perhaps some ’70s tunes, too.

The event will occur Sunday, Jan. 28 from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Classic music won’t be the only thing happening at the Boomer Dance Party. Organizers said more fun will be afoot with dance contests, trivia contests, a cool photo backdrop, snacks, refreshments and an array of prizes.  Admission is $5 per person.

The Allegro Ballroom is a nonprofit organization dedicated to dance education in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to its website.

The ballroom’s entrance can be found next to Grocery Outlet at 12012 San Pablo Avenue in Richmond. Free parking is available in the Allegro Ballroom/Grocery Outlet parking lot. Questions? Call the ballroom at (510) 655-2888 or email [email protected]. Learn more here.
