UPDATE: While this event was publicized, our reporter attempted to cover the flea market on this date only to find that no flea market was taking place. He contacted the VFW and learned that the flea market has been on hiatus, but will return to operation in March. Click here for our latest report.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) organization will host its first Community Flea Market of the New Year on Sunday, Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its home at 968 23rd St. in Richmond.

Organizers of the weekly flea market tout it as offering a wide range of unique items spanning the gamut from vintage clothing to handmade crafts and more. “This convenient location ensures easy access for all attendees, making it a perfect day out for families, friends and bargain hunters,” they said.

Vendor opportunities are still available: A booth with one parking space, one table and two chairs is $30; a booth with two parking spaces, two tables, two chairs, one tent and one rack is $45; a tent alone is $10; while a clothes rack is $5. Register here.
