The community is invited to run 5K on Richmond’s scenic waterfront for a good cause on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The 3rd Annual Fast Track to a Cure 5K Bay Area is set to take place along the San Francisco Bay Trail, starting at Lucretia Edwards Shoreline Park, 1500 Marina Way S.
All proceeds from the event will go to Oligo Nation, a nonprofit working on advancing research to create effective treatments for oligo brain tumors. Stanley Currier said his family is teaming with other Bay Area families that have been affected by oligodendroglioma.
“We are strong supporters and advocates of the work that this organization does, and all it does for oligo survivors and their families,” Currier said.
