Occupants of an SUV involved in a rollover crash on I-580 in Richmond Sunday were fortunate to have sustained only “very minor injuries,” according to Richmond fire officials.
The vehicle rolled over the center guardrail on westbound I-580 near Marina Bay Parkway before ending up on its roof in the eastbound lanes, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union representing city firefighters.
The afternoon solo-vehicle crash served as a reminder “to always wear your seatbelt,” fire officials said.
The cause of the accident wasn’t immediately known.
