The City of Richmond is lauding another successful running of its Floating Pumpkin Patch at the Plunge.

On Saturday, 150 children, parents and community members showed up to search for their perfect pumpkin in the public pool in Point Richmond.

“Even though there was a line to get in, everyone seemed to be in good spirits, knowing that their patience would pay off once they came inside and found the pumpkins bobbing around throughout the pool,” city officials said.

There were enough pumpkins and plenty of time to splash about or swim.

“Lifeguards were diligently guarding the pool and were happy that all patrons and pumpkins left safely at the end,” said city officials, adding that they hoped to see community members again next year.
