The Habitot Mobile Museum is coming to Pogo Park’s Elm Playlot in Richmond’s Iron Triangle neighborhood this Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To reserve a space for you and your family for the free museum, click here to sign up online via Eventbrite, or call Treschanna Green at Building Blocks for Kids at (510) 232-5812 ext. 406. You can also sign up at the office at Elm Playlot, located at 720 Elm Ave., during officer hours M-F, 8-5 p.m.

The free traveling “mini museum” of exhibits and activities is best for kids ages 0-5, while siblings and adults are encourated to play, too. Activity stations include making and launching a rocket launcher, hands-on learning opportunities with water, such as boat making and tinkering; art, STEM and maker’s stations; a paintable wall; an imagination playground with blocks; a ball run, and a baby ball pitt.

Each ticket admits a single family group with any combination of children and adults in the same household, including caregiver, to a 1 hour, 15 minute timeslot at the mobile museum. Masks must be worn by all individuals over the age of 2 regardless of vaccination status.

Habitot Children’s Museum is a nonprofit based in Berkeley. Its 2022 Mobile Museum Tour is supported by the City of Berkeley, The Institute of Museum and Library Services, Chevron, Kaiser Permanente, and, in this case, Pogo Park as well.
