The 514 Lounge in El Cerrito, popular among East Bay residents, is set to reopen on Thursday following a hiatus prompted by the pandemic.

The neighborhood lounge is located at 11236 San Pablo Ave, near the intersection of Potrero Avenue.

The business will restart by opening from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday to Sunday, according to owner Mary Dugbartey.

“It’s great to be getting back here again and the community will be back too,” Dugbartey said.

Members of the El Cerrito Chamber Commerce touted the return of the 514 Lounge.

“The owner, Mary D., created a cozy, intimate and inviting environment that was very well received by the locals,” said Jeffrey Wright, president of the Board of Directors for the Chamber. “She is looking forward to seeing everyone back.”

The 514 Lounge offers spirits, cocktails, beer, wine and small bites. It is a full-service bar with food and cocktails.
