Organizers of Richmond’s Boorman Park renovation are inviting the community to offer input on the final design at the “Boorman Park Design Party,” Sat. Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Zoom.

Boorman Park received a Prop 68 grant for a total revamping, with construction set to be finalized by 2022. Hosts of the online Zoom party—including Richmond Community Services Department; First 5 Contra Costa; Healthy & Active before 5; and the West County Regional Group (WCRG)—have been holding a series of workshops to gather community input on the park’s design.

The upcoming Zoom party, which organizers encourage families to attend, is one step in the process toward finalizing renovation plans for the park that’s located at S. 25th St. and Maine Ave. in Richmond.

To participate, register here or call (925) 771-7320. For more info, visit the online event’s Facebook page.
