San Pablo Reservoir, among the many East Bay parks that closed last Friday due to extreme fire danger, smoke conditions from wildfires and limited firefighting resources, is reopening at 11 a.m. Thursday. San Pablo Reservoir is managed by the East Bay Municipal Utility District, which has also opened Lafayette Reservoir and all trails in its district.

Also, the East Bay Regional Parks District (EBRPD) announced park areas it recently closed due to extreme fire activity have also reopened Thursday, “except those directly impacted by the fires, including Round Valley, Morgan Territory, Del Valle, Ohlone Wilderness, Sunol, and Mission Peak.”

Closures in place before the extreme fire activity due to COVID will remain in effect, officials said.
