A San Rafael woman died in a car accident in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Hilltop Drive in Richmond Thursday night, police said.
Police responded to the solo-vehicle crash at 9:24 p.m., Richmond police Capt. Al Walle said. The vehicle reportedly struck the center medium before leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree, Walle said.
Mayra Morales, 31, of San Rafael, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The male driver was transported to the hospital in stable condition and later arrested for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, Walle said.
