City officials called this year’s Floating Pumpkin Patch at the Richmond Swim Center a success, as about 100 people participated and all the pumpkins were sold out.
“Children and parents were lined up and excited to jump into the pool to pick out their pumpkins,” said organizers of the event, which took place Saturday, Oct. 12.
Every child received a pumpkin with their admission. Most families set their pumpkins aside so that they could stay and enjoy the pool on the warm afternoon, according to the city.
Next year, the city aims to add more pumpkins and fun to the event.
