A 30-year-old Richmond woman and her 2-year-old daughter have apparently vanished, and police are asking for the community to help find them.
On Tuesday just before midnight, Hercules police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Lupine Road in their city for a missing person report. A woman reported her niece, Jessica Tucker, and 2-year-old great niece, Roselyn Artiga, missing, police said.
While Tucker and her daughter live in the 3000 block of Florida St. in Richmond with Tucker’s boyfriend, who is Roselyn’s father, they spent the night at the aunt’s home Monday night.
The aunt said she last saw her niece and great niece when she went to bed about 8:30 p.m. When she got up the next morning at 7:30 a.m., they were gone, along with the aunt’s 2005 Black Honda CRV (CA License #5MAX512). The aunt said she had given permission to Jessica Tucker to borrow the car, and so she initially thought she’d just gone out for a while.
After the mom, who suffers from a medical condition, and child didn’t come back, the aunt tried calling, but calls went straight to voice mail. The aunt called police and Hercules police officers also tried to call Tucker, but their calls also went straight to voice mail.
Officers contacted Tucker’s boyfriend, who said he was supposed to bring breakfast to Tucker’s aunt’s house on Tuesday morning. Tucker didn’t respond to his calls or voice mails either, police said.
Both the boyfriend and aunt expressed worry, police said. They don’t know where Tucker and her child could have gone, as they have no other relatives or friends in the area, police said.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts, or the 2005 Honda, are asked to contact the Hercules Police Department at (510) 724-1111.
