Volunteers are encouraged to join Richmond Trees in its last Tree Planting Event of the 2018-2019 season this Sunday, March 31.
The grassroots group that is beautifying the city one tree at a time plans to meet at Burg Park, 2910 Clinton Ave., at 9 a.m. Volunteers will break up into groups to plant trees for residents who have been awaiting their new street trees.
“We cannot think of a better way to spend the morning on a perfect, Spring day,” organizers said.
Richmond Trees is on a mission to grow a healthy urban forest that covers at least 40-percent of the city and is cared for by partnerships between community organizations and the City of Richmond. To learn more, visit its website here.
