East Brother Beer Co. has brewed beer to benefit wildfire victims, hosted fundraisers for a local holiday festival, and has also given thanks to local teachers.
Now, the community-minded brewery has its focus on local federal employees who may be “feeling the sting” from the federal government shutdown.
From Friday through Sunday, the first pint at the East Brother Co. Tap Room at 1001 Canal Blvd. in Richmond is $1 for all furloughed federal employees.
“We’re here to help while this shutdown drags on,” the brewery states. “If you’re a Federal Employee feeling the sting, come by to grab your first pint for $1 in the taproom this Friday-Sunday.”
