Want to appear in a Univision commercial? Then head over to Richmond’s El Agave Azul restaurant on Thursday.
The Mexican eatery at 12955 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond is encouraging the community to participate in a commercial that Univision will be filming onsite from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (ish)
El Agave Azul aims to film the commercial in advance of its first anniversary on Sunday, March 29, when the restaurant plans a celebration. More details on that soon.
“We’ll be looking for some high energy customers having a great time,” stated the restaurant on its Facebook event page. “We suggest you wear bright colors so you stand out and be ready to cheer!”
If you want another reason to show up, the filming coincides with the restaurant’s Cantina Hour and it will be “Mojito Day” ($7). Never been? Read about the Standard’s visit after its opening.
As with any golden opportunity, there is some slight risk involved, namely there are no guarantees that everyone who shows up will make the commercial’s final cut. But there’s always that chance you will make the cut, and then you never know who might spot your star power.
“We’d love to have as many people in the restaurant [as possible] this afternoon,” the eatery stated on its event page. “We can’t guarantee you’ll be in the final cut but, hey, why not?”
