Seventy-five years after the Red Oak Victory launched at Kaiser-Richmond Shipyard No. 1, an epic birthday party is set to be held on the ship.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, from 6-10 p.m., the community is invited to an historic celebration featuring 1940s music, dancing, dinner, drinks and, of course, a special cake in honor of the Red Oak Victory. And while the party is going on, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the ship’s bridge, the captain’s quarters, the original radio room, the guns and even peer down into the engine room.

Ticket options include $50 for a full sit-down dinner, or $25 to enjoy just the music, drinks and ambience of the historic ship. All money raised from ticket prices go directly toward funding maintenance and restoration of the Red Oak Victory.

Music will be provided by The George Cole Orchestra while local Chef Halihl Guy will serve a first-class dinner.
