A San Pablo man was fatally struck by a vehicle on SR-92 in San Mateo County on Saturday, and the driver involved in the collision has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, authorities said.
Brandon Quismorio, 33 of San Pablo, was reportedly driving a silver Infiniti G35 that was involved in a noninjury crash involving one other vehicle in the eastbound lanes of SR-92 at about 11:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Both vehicles had stopped between the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes after the crash. Quismorio exited his vehicle and was subsequently struck by a black Cadillac Escalade driven by Gregory Dooley, the CHP said.
Quismorio was pronounced deceased at the scene. Dooley, 45, of Newman in Stanislaus County, and his passenger were transported to Stanford Hospital with major injuries. Dooley was ultimately placed under arrested for DUI.
