Two people were shot in El Sobrante Wednesday night, including a 25-year-old Pittsburg man who died from his wounds, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
About 8:41 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 4500 block of Appian Way and located two victims with gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.
Dejante Kennedy, 25, of Pittsburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene while the second victim was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said.
No arrests or motive was announced, as the sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
