San Pablo police are investigating a homicide after a man was found in a vehicle suffering from a fatal gunshot wound early Wednesday.
Police responded to the 2600 block of 19th Street at about 5:35 a.m. on a report of a shooting. Arriving officers found a vehicle parked in the roadway with the wounded man inside. Despite attempts at life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The victim’s identity wasn’t immediately released pending notification of his family.
“There were no other victims located an investigators believe the victim was the intended target,” said Capt. Brian Bubar.
