The Chamberlin Education Foundation has launched its 2026 Gratitude Grants program for West Contra Costa public school teachers.

The annual program gives full-time teachers $300 grants to buy classroom supplies. Over the last 10 years, the foundation has provided more than $2 million to local educators. The deadline to apply for this year’s funding is Thursday, March 5.

To apply, go here.

The foundation created this program because most teachers spend their own money on school materials. Research shows that over 90 percent of teachers pay for supplies out of pocket, spending an average of $610 during the 2023-2024 school year. These grants help reduce that financial burden so teachers can focus on their students.
