The City of El Cerrito announced this week the completion of the 2025 Ohlone Greenway Repair Project, in which crews repaved 500 linear feet of pathway near Centennial Park, between Stockton Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, fixing damage caused by water intrusion and tree roots.
The Ohlone Greenway is a multi-use pedestrian and bicycle corridor running roughly 2.7 miles through El Cerrito under and beside the elevated BART tracks, connecting neighborhoods and two BART stations. It follows an old railroad right-of-way and is named for the Ohlone people, the area’s original Indigenous inhabitants.
