AOPR to unveil two new art exhibitions

Arts of Point Richmond (AOPR) is coloring our world by sponsoring two upcoming art events—“Watercolors” in April and “La Familia—A Fiesta of Community Art” in May in Point Richmond.

Sun., April 23 from 2-4 p.m. will see an opening reception for the exhibit “Watercolors” come to El Sol Restaurant, 101 Park Place in Point Richmond. The self-descriptive exhibit, which is already up at the restaurant, features the works of Lenore Stormes and Jean Brady through July 16.

Over at the Mom & Pop Art Shop Gallery, 24 W. Richmond Ave. in the Point, an opening reception will take place May 5, 4-8 p.m. for “La Familia – A Fiesta of Community Art.” The exhibition—up through June 30—will include the works of AOPR members and surround the theme of “family, community and belonging,” per Rita Gardner of the association.
