San Pablo City Council on Monday is set to decide whether to authorize the city manager to enter into an agreement with Gates + Associates for the design of a pocket park on Bush Avenue at 17th Street.
In March, the City Council approved allocating over a half-million-dollars in state grant funds toward the creation of a pocket park.
“The Bush Avenue Pocket Park Project is a proposed multi-benefit, community-informed pocket park project that will transform the 1701 Bush Avenue vacant lot into a pocket park with swings, exercise loop, fitness machines, shade structures, other play equipment, and native plants-all elements residents stated they would like to see,” the city said.
The project is expected to be completed in January 2024.
