Temple Beth Hillel in Richmond is inviting the community to its Purim Carnival and Raffle this Sunday, March 17, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
“Wear costumes and masks and bring your noisemakers to Temple Beth Hillel’s festive Purim Carnival, a fun-filled afternoon celebrating freedom from religious persecution,” organizers said.
Along with a reading of the Megillah — the biblical story of Esther — and singing of Purim songs, there will be activities, crafts, games, and prizes for kids of all ages. Home-baked goods, including traditional hamentaschen (a three-cornered, fruit-filled pastry), and a lunch will be available. A Raffle with a $250 Visa Gift Card Grand Prize will also be available.
The event is open to the community and admission is free.
Temple Beth Hillel is located at 801 Park Central in Richmond (Hilltop exit/I-80). Visit its website here: www.tbhrichmond.org.
