Organizers of thesecondopinion’s 4th Annual Golf Fundraiser are inviting the community to tee off with them for a good cause at the Richmond Country Club.
The golf tournament is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the scenic country club at 1 Markovich Lane in Richmond.
Thesecondopinion is an over 50 year old organization providing free, comprehensive second opinions to adults diagnosed with cancer in California. Over half its patients have a combined income of $50,000 or less, and 65 percent are disabled, retired or unemployed.
The organization aims to raise $15,000 from the golf tournament to “help cancer patients and their families get the clarity they need to go forward with treatment.”
Tournament tickets, which are $250 per player, include a lunch, prizes and post-event drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Sign up as a foursome, or come on your own and make new friends. There are opportunities for companies and organizations to sponsor holes and participate.
