House of Loving Hands (HOLH) has made a list and checked it twice for its annual “Christmas Toy Giveaway” slated for Sunday, Dec. 21 in Richmond. Now preparations are underway to bring gifts, crafts and holiday cheer to approximately 150 local children.

This is where the community comes in. According to the nonprofit’s Executive Director Deneshia Clemons, HOLH is calling on community members to help make the season bright for kids by donating in support of its Christmas Toy Giveaway. Financial donations are needed so organizers can purchase gifts for kids 0-18 years old. Donations to support the charitable gifts can be made via Venmo: @HOLH2028; Zelle: (510) 375-9916; PayPal: [email protected]; and HOLH’s website.

Another way to help HOLH includes donating new, unwrapped toys, craft supplies and other gift items for kids in the aforementioned age range. These donations will ensure the event delivers meaningful presents to children whose families may be suffering economically during the holidays. Gifts can be donated by calling 510-730-1162 to set up a drop-off or pick-up time.

Organizers emphasize that every donation—big or small—can make a significant difference in a child’s holiday experience. By offering financial support or giving a new, unwrapped toy, donors become part of a larger community effort to uplift families in Richmond and share the spirit of giving.

“It puts a smile on the kids’ faces,” said Clemons of the age-appropriate toy giveaway. “The kids light up.”

With the collection underway, the nonprofit encourages contributions well ahead of the December event to ensure sufficient time for purchasing, sorting and distribution.
