Richmond’s The Factory Bar is gearing up for “Halloween Weekend” with its biggest celebration yet, including two nights of excitement for people and their furballs.

The festivities kick off on Friday, Oct. 31 and continue on Saturday, Nov. 1st with a party that’s become a local tradition and is touted as Richmond’s largest 21-and-over Halloween event.

Friday Night: Wheel of Misfortune, costumes and a DJ

On Halloween night, guests can dive into the “Raise the Spirits Halloween Party” from 7-11:59 p.m., with DJ Sirslushalot spinning tracks all evening. The bar’s infamous “Wheel of Misfortune” will tempt brave souls to spin for a chance at surprises and challenges, according to Proprietor Tom Lyons. The highlight of the night is the costume contest, where attendees can compete for several prizes while enjoying special drinks crafted especially for the occasion.

Tasty eats will be served up by Golden Gate Bistro’s food truck, which will be parked right outside the bar from 5-10 p.m. that night.

Saturday: Howl-o-ween for dogs and their humans

The celebration continues on Saturday, November 1, with a pawsome twist: The Factory Bar’s first-ever “Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest and Party” from 4-6 p.m. Dog lovers are encouraged to bring their four-legged-friends in costume for a patio extravaganza featuring prizes and other surprises yet to be revealed. The event underscores the bar’s deep love for dogs and encourages patrons to get creative with outfits for their fur babies.

Chef Henrik Brazillian BBQ will be serving up his fiery fare at the bar from 3-10 p.m.

“Our Halloween party at The Factory Bar has become one of our biggest events of the year,” said Lyons. “I also believe it’s the biggest 21-and-over Halloween event in Richmond. It’s amazing to see everyone come out and such amazing spirits.”
