Three schools in West Contra Costa County recently earned distinction on the 2025 Educational Results Partnership (ERP) California Honor Roll.

The distinction recognizes institutions that are improving student outcomes and narrowing achievement gaps using objective data.

Honor Roll schools include Richmond College Preparatory in Richmond, West County Mandarin School in Pinole and El Sobrante, and Middle College High School located on the Contra Costa College campus.

They are among 1,834 schools and 158 districts statewide, or roughly 21 percent of California’s schools and districts, recognized by the ERP.

The Honor Roll is grounded in data from the Smarter Balanced Assessment spanning 2023-2025, emphasizing sustained growth and equitable results across student groups.

“This recognition speaks to the thoughtful systems our schools have built to support every student, not just academically, but socially and emotionally,” County Superintendent Lynn Mackey said. “Educators and school staff across our county are leading with equity, designing rigorous learning experiences that reflect real-world challenges.”
