The San Pablo Police Department announced it will conduct a DUI checkpoint Friday night from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the 13800 block of San Pablo Avenue, near Church Lane.
The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
“We would like to remind the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol,” the San Pablo Police Department stated. “Some prescription medication‘s and over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. While medical and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.”
