Caltrans is planning nightly lane closures on the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge from Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. to facilitate maintenance work.

During these hours, at least one lane will remain open in each direction to ensure the continued flow of traffic. However, motorists should anticipate potential delays and are advised to plan accordingly, according to Caltrans.

This maintenance schedule follows an incident on June 2, when broken concrete was discovered on the upper deck of the bridge near Pier 25, leading to significant delays, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle. The news publication uncovered similar incidents in the recent past that have damaged cars.
