The “Art of the African Diaspora” (AOTAD) exhibition, which in its 28th year is the longest running event of its kind in the Bay Area, is currently being featured in Richmond and also throughout the Bay Area.
The works of more than 150 artists are on display as part of AOTAD now through March 22 at the Richmond Art Center, open studios and at satellite exhibitions in venues throughout the Bay Area.
Venues include the East Side Art Alliance in Oakland, El Cerrito City Hall, Ethnic Notions 1 in Vallejo, the Hercules Library and at both El Sol restaurant and Kaleidoscope Coffee in Point Richmond. Artist works are featured at the Macy’s in San Francisco’s Union Square, as well as a San Jose library.
Arts Contra Costa County (ARTSCCC), an organization which spotlights Contra Costa County’s artistic creations, is featuring an AOTAD exhibition now through April 7 at the County Administration Building in Martinez via the Art Passages exhibition program. Its opening reception is Feb. 20.
