Fancy a ferry ride across the bay? San Francisco Bay Ferry is making the ride more scenic than ever with the special “Richmond Scenic” trip Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13, leaving from the Richmond Ferry Terminal at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the beautiful bay ride are available via the San Francisco Bay Ferry app and include a more meandering, one hour route to the Downtown San Francisco Ferry Terminal. The ride will include close-up views of standout stars of the bay, such as Angel Island, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge prior to arriving in San Francisco at 4 p.m.
The San Francisco Bay Ferry notes that the Richmond Scenic trip is one-way, so all passengers must disembark when reaching San Francisco. The ferry service also advises that the 4:30 p.m. departure from San Francisco to Richmond will likely be full, so the 6 p.m. departure at Gate F is recommended. It’s suggested that riders line up a half hour in advance for the first-come, first-served ride to Richmond.
Richmond Scenic tickets from Richmond to San Francisco one-way are $4.70 for an adult and $2.30 for seniors (Ages 65-plus) and youth (Ages 5-17); and children under age 5 are free. Click here to download the San Francisco Bay Ferry app on Apple and here on Google Play. Learn more.
The Richmond Ferry Terminal is located at 1453 Harbour Way South in Richmond, next to the Craneway Pavilion.
