John F. Kennedy High School’s Class of 2005 Eagles alumni are appealing for community support via a GoFundMe campaign to help their 20th reunion take flight.

Go Fund Me organizer Tanita Jones said on the fundraising page that the Kennedy Class of 2005 aims to have the high school reunion make up for the lack of events their senior year, as well as a failed 10-year reunion attempt due to a lack of funding and support.

Jones added that, while the Class of 2005’s senior year was a memorable one, they unfortunately didn’t have a senior trip, senior boat cruise or a senior yearbook due to the aforementioned funding and support issues.

The Planning Committee for the class’ reunion will take place at Fairview in Oakland. It aims to raise a total of $7,500. The reunion will take place June 6, 2025, to be honor their graduation date in 2005.

“We appreciate and welcome all the support we can get and are thankful for any amount donated, whether it’s $1, $100 or $1,000. No amount is too small or big…Thanks and go Eagles,” said Jones.
