A ribbon cutting for a new playground at Montalvin Park is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 24.
The event, which is hosted by Supervisor John Gioia’s Office, Contra Costa Public Works and Contra Costa Health, will take place an noon and will feature a giveaway of backpacks, smoothies, coffee and an immunization clinic.
The event will also serve to discuss park improvements, offer an opportunity for the community to provide feedback and get their questions answered by Supervisor Gioia and County staff.
Montalvin Park is located at the end of Denise Drive.
